The advantage to the slip clutch is that you can stop the rotation of the rod for inspection and touchups around guides and underwraps without stopping the motor. The 6 RPM model is for applying finish to rods with underwraps and curing, the 18 RPM is good for general use and curing, the 40 RPM is suited for faster finish application, while the 120 and 200 RPM motors are intended for high speed finish application.
